Introduction

Shanghai Industrial School of CPC and Shanghai Economic Management College (SEMC) were respectively founded in 1970s and 1980s. In 1993, the School and the college were merged as an integrated training center. In May 2005, as decided by Shanghai Municipal Commission of CPC, the leadership of the school was transferred to Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. As required, the college should strive hard to become an important training centre for senior management personnel, particularly for SOE managers in Shanghai within next 3-5 years. The college should also expand its training service to the managers from private companies.

Among these trainers, over 80 are full-time and 50 % are professors; also there are about 80 part-time trainers, consisting of famous executives, government officials, university professors and institute researchers. This highly experienced and qualified team of trainers has become a critical guarantee to the college¡¯s sustainable development in new century.
